Frequently asked questions
What do you do?
I help people who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious, or stuck to understand what’s going on and move forward with more clarity and stability.
I am based in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK, but I work online across across the UK. I provide coaching, counselling to individuals through one to one confidential support.
How does the online counselling?
Sessions are conducted online, meaning you can access support from anywhere in the UK. You simply book a session, and we meet via video call. The focus is on your current struggles with overthinking, burnout, or feeling mentally stuck.
How do I know if I need coaching, counselling, or both?
If you feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, or weighed down by stress, counselling may be helpful. If you feel stuck, indecisive, or unsure how to move forward in life or work, coaching may fit better. Many people find a mix of both helpful depending on what they’re going through.
What happens in a session?
We talk through what’s going on for you right now, whether that’s stress, burnout, anxiety, or feeling stuck. From there, we focus on understanding what’s underneath and what needs to shift so things feel more manageable.
What’s the difference between coaching and counselling in your work?
Counselling gives space to explore emotions like anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm in a safe, supportive way. Coaching focuses on clarity, decisions, and practical change. Both support you in different ways, depending on what you need at the time.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious, or unsure of your next steps, this work is designed to help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.
More Frequently asked questions
Why do I feel mentally exhausted all the time even though nothing is wrong?
Feeling mentally exhausted without a clear reason is often linked to internal stress, overthinking, and emotional overload. Even if life looks fine on the outside, your mind can still be working overtime. Counselling helps slow this down so things feel clearer and less heavy.
I can’t stop overthinking everything — do I need counselling?
If you can’t stop overthinking and it’s affecting your sleep, mood, or ability to make decisions, counselling can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to get support. Many people seek counselling when their mind feels constantly “switched on” and they can’t break the cycle on their own.
I can’t make decisions and keep going in circles — what is wrong with me?
Nothing is “wrong” with you. This is often called decision paralysis, and it usually happens when your mind is overloaded or afraid of making the wrong choice. Counselling helps you untangle the pressure so decisions feel clearer and less overwhelming.
Do I need counselling if I look fine but feel overwhelmed inside?
Yes. Many people seek counselling while still functioning in daily life but feeling overwhelmed internally. This is very common. Counselling helps when you’re holding everything together externally but struggling with pressure, thoughts, or emotions inside.
Can counselling help with burnout if I’m still working and functioning?
Yes. This is often called functional burnout — when you’re still working and getting things done, but internally feel drained, overwhelmed, or emotionally flat. Counselling gives you space to process what’s building up before it gets worse.
How quickly can counselling help with overthinking or burnout?
Many people begin to feel some relief within a few sessions as they start to understand what is driving the mental pressure. The goal is not quick fixes, but reducing overwhelm and helping your thinking feel clearer over time.
